School's Out!

Today started off just like any other Thursday. Sleeping through first hour, bored out of our minds second hour. :) So as we were in the middle of our algebra lesson our principle started talking over the intercom letting us know that the bathrooms were currently closed and that we are not to drink out of the drinking fountains for all the water in our town is at a high chlorine level. So, we're all like, OK w/e, we all have water bottles and didn't think too much of it. Well about 5 minutes later at 9:25 Mr. Washburn (our principle) gets on the intercom again saying our school is closing sending everyone home because the water is too dangerous. All the busses were to arrive and everyone would be let out at 9:30 giving everyone only 5 minutes to get ahold of their parents to tell them whats going on and to see whats who picking them up, etc. It was crazy! Everyone screaming and cheering, kids running around everywhere with cell phones not knowing what to do! OMG!! Of course no one is answering our house phone and my mom won't answer her cell and being the worry-wort that I am I flip out. I was planning on going home with my best friend Gabby when my mom finally called me back saying she was on her way- no biggy! Thank the Lord! I was stressing!! ;) So we just went home and chilled out until Ingrid got here at 11:00. Then mom and I headed out to run some errands. Our first stop was Dad's office to run some copies for the adoption. Second, we took a look at some huge express vans at the car dealership as mom thinks she needs to upgrade to one with all of these kids we have and are going to have. Next, we went to Best Buy so I could get some games and DVD's for my PSP that I got for Christmas and also checked out the brand-new computers that they JUST got in. Pretty awesome, can't really describe them.(except the fact that they were touch-screen, faster, and more protected) Fourth, we went to the mall and ate at a yummy little restaurant called Olga's and went to a couple other stores (Bath and Body, JC Penny) to pick up a few things. Lastly, we just stopped at the grocery store to get some essential items.

Just a fun day hanging with mom, didn't get to sleep in but it was still fun and nice to get a day off of school. :)

Yikes, so any word on whether the problem is fixed or not? Do you get to sleep in tomorrow??

No ladies (and Mr. Brian) there is no recent news on the water issue. Weird huh!? They told us before we left school to make sure not to make sure no one drinks any water who lives around the area but since we live way out on the lake and are connected to a well it doesn't concern us at home. No clue how or when it will be fixed. It would be nice to be able to sleep in tomorrow but we really need to have school so our volleyball team can have practice. We have only had 3 days of practice and need to know everything from rules to how to play the game well by Monday which is our first game. EEEEKKK!! Since none of us have really played before we need a lot of practice!:(

Mom wouldn't let me mention the lip plumper experience. She had to have that one all to herself to post on the blog. I posted a little more info on mom's blog under the Plumper post.

Emmerson: Nice darker grey text. Easier for us old fogey parents to read.
